Cookie Baking Time

Every year I bake chocolate chip cookies for Christmas. The recipe is called "The Best Chocolate Chip Cookies".

Beat 3 blocks butter, 1-1/3 c. white sugar and 1 c. brown sugar until fluffy.

Add 4 eggs, 1 Tbsp. vanilla and 1 tsp. lemon juice. Beat well after each egg. Would you believe this is my "sifter". It's a strainer and is probably really old. I had a sifter before, but this way works better for me. Anyway, sift together 3 c. flour, 2 tsp. baking soda, 1-1/2 tsp. salt and 1 tsp. cinnamon. Add to butter mixture.
Add 1/2 c. rolled oats, 4 c. (2 bags) chocolate chips and 2 c. chopped walnuts.
I pulverize the walnuts and oats with this gadget. It's really old too. I have a spare one in the closet 'cause it's only about 10 bucks, but I've had the spare forever 'cause it just doesn't break. This is the cookie dough . . . double recipe.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto your magical nonstick Silpat (it's on a cookie sheet but my cookie sheet is smaller than the Silpat).
Bake at 350 degrees for 16-18 minutes, and you end up with these.

This recipe is very similar to mine. I add Rice Krispies to mine. These look yummy though. Need to find time to bake. Have one more stamp order to finish and then try and do some Christmas cards for me to send out. Curious too, hope your family is ok with all the bad weather you folks are having. It's just ugly fog here, suppose to have rain, hasn't happened yet.
