We did an omakase sushi place for dinner so you basically eat whatever the chef prepares for you. There were some very interesting things served but I was a good sport and ate everything. ( some things I washed down with pickled ginger and water 😅)
I’m so glad you liked it. We totally whacked ours. Randy loves the stuff! Oh and I forgot to tell you, I found some really good Ume. I wish I bought more 😕

although I like uni from Japan, in Japan, I don't think I would have been able to try this.
you brave!

Interesting. I’ve never tried Uni before either, it doesn’t look appealing to me. But I know a lot of people who like it.
Izsmom
What a good friend!
Cool😎. Amazing what the Japanese can replicate. It's like a vegan uni.
interesting!
V, I think eating real uni is even braver!
Izsmom, my sisters tried fresh uni in Hokkaido awhile back and liked it.
Aunty, for real.
Chet, exactly!!
Kat, I know!

Susan, I think I would've done exactly the same thing.
Does it require refrigeration if unopened? Where can you find it in Japan?, I asked at a couple markets but they never had it.
Anon, Leslie said she found it at Maruetsu Supermarket, and it does need refrigeration even if unopened.

Les, there's a condiment jar we got that we wish we bought more of too. It has garlic, ginger, and onion in it.
