Jane's Fountain

My brother went to Jane's Fountain on Liliha Street today.

This is what he had.  He gave it a thumbs up 5/5 stars. "Saimin base: shrimp and fish.  Burger: old school.  Open 7:30, perfect for me."

This was his check.  So cute, yah!

I love those old kine places. Used to be $1.45 before. And a nickel could buy plenty candy!

Jane's Fountain is a throwback to the old days, it's an anomaly. I use to order their hamburger steak, corn beef and cabbage. Just a mom and pop business, local style. On School street, there use to be Uptown Fountain owned by a Okinawan famiily, they made great Pork Tofu and cabbage. Now there's Liliha Bakery across the fire station that's expensive and crowded, though the food is ono.

Susan, me too.

Izsmom, saimin and hamburger was a fave of mine back in the day when I didn't have to worry about calories. LOL.

Aunty, kid time when I got my nickel allowance I would go to the neighborhood store and buy cracked seed in a small paper bag.

Chet, I remember Uptown Fountain!

Kat, yay!
