Some of you may know that my favorite potato peeler is made by Kuhn Rikon.
I also like this Kuhn Rikon can opener that I got at the swap meet.

It slices through the can sideways like this . . .

and is a "safety" can opener where it leaves no sharp edges.

You can use the sliced-off top as a cover.

The best, best thing about this particular can opener is that I got it for ONE DOLLAH. So lucky, yah.

Susan, I just googled Pampered Chef can opener, and my eyeballs popped out when I saw the price!
Nice! I have a similar can opener by OXO and cost me like $10.
