I did go back to Times, and it seems that the cashier did charge me wrong the first time. The tangerines were actually selling for $2.99/pound . . . not the deal I had wanted, but still "on sale".
I bought a bagful though was kinda hard to pick out any good ones. They pretty much all looked bust-up.
Here's a picture from out in the parking lot . . . Ainokea-kine parking x 2.
We tried it yesterday. Mom loved it, but Art and I thought it was on par with a good Clementine. We only bought two so we'll try the second one tonight.
my co-workers believe the ugly the dekopon, the sweeter. I think I've eaten tart, dry ugly ones so don't really agree with co-workers. I just pick up each one and try to get the heaviest, thinking they'll be juicy. v
Just a little clarification... Clementines aren't always of the same quality, but generally they are wonderful. Very little seed if any and easy to peel. Cheaper than the sumos too. ;-)
In the good old days people took pride in their driving and with respect! Today nobody cares! They only care about themselves! I keep almost getting hit at 70 mph on our San Diego freeways because of peeps looking down at their cell phone and texting! They cross lanes and are very dangerous!
Tonight I finally found the best Asian market in San Diego that I have ever seen. And it's not too far from my house. And all excellent prices!

They have every thing you could ever want. Even live fish, lobster and crabs in large water tank! All kinds of prepared box lunches. And now I finally know where to get Kimchi!
The fish section was the most awesome! Everything you could imagine. Even small octopus that I have never seen before.
thanks for today

Ooooh, Kay . . . good Clementine? I see Clementine all the time, but Dekopan not so much. Good to know. Thanks!
I went Time's Aiea last night, but they were really ugly looking, so I didn't get any.

i wouldn't have blacked out the license plate!!! Show the world what a di%*head he is!!!
Sorry thats my car....
Ugaly is fine. It is what is inside that counts. Same thing with local oranges and even people, right?

How can people not care how they park?
Plant trees! ; )
I hate parking lot's! That's where your car always get's hurt! Dat's why I always park on da far side and walk! I want the exercise! ; )

Ahahahaha, Les . . . instead of blacking it out I shoulda changed it to DIKHED. LOL!!!
Anon, I think it unlikely that the owner of that car would say sorry.

Oooooh, looks similar to our Palama Market, Mark!
For some reason, I have not yet find the sumo orange here. Usually sell for $3.99 per pound so it's quite a good price.
Hmmmm . . . wonder why, Akemi.
