Me and CQ were so nervous about returning to class tonight. On top of missing the last two classes, we were more than half hour late for tonight's class.
But we were determined to be brave and face the music.
When we got to class, teacher was busy helping the "throwers" so we quietly sneaked in. CQ went to her unfinished dragon, and I went to look for my plate.
My plate was on my shelf right where I had left it. I quickly took it out of the plastic bag which I had covering it and pushed at the clay with my finger. Lo and behold . . . it separated from the glass beneath it really easily. I was soooo happy, I did a little dance. Hoo hoo!!
I turned to see how CQ was doing and saw that she was wetting down her dragon.
She looked as if she was spraying in earnest, but I knew that what she really wanted to do was to throw the whole piece into the clay-heaven bucket.
It was about then that teacher noticed us and said something like, "Why, hi girls!" Whew!!
Here's Gail's second dragon.
This is Dean.
CQ decided to make a bowl tonight while her dragon was still moisturizing.
This is the contraption that we use to flatten our clay.
Here's teacher helping CQ mold her clay onto a bowl.
Last night was the Academy Awards and you know what that means! Time for the gals and guys of Y & M to get all gussied up for the big event. This year's Oscar Party was held at Bran's house, and everybody looked MAHVELOUS . . . even me with my hairclips, but you gotta check Leslie's blog to see that. I hope she posts my "sultry" look. My favorite part of the night was the food (you know me) . . . prepared by Chef Bran herself . . . sooo ono.
I met Ailey and family this morning at my favorite picture-taking place, although you might not recognize it at first 'cause I chose a slightly different spot to start.
If you ever see perfect lighting like this, put a cute little girl in a pink outfit smack dab in the middle of it . . .
call her name . . .
so that she runs toward you . . .
and watch as she stops to smell a flower. So sweeeeet!
And of course you always gotta get a shot of the shoes.
Here are some more shots. Thanks Jamie and Tyson. It was fun as usual!
