Les and I always admire the cute little headgear worn by babies that we often see on other photographer's websites, so finally this past Friday, I asked my mom to teach me how to crochet. It's fun!! I'm "hooked" . . . get it? It's kinda time consuming though, but I'll try not to neglect my blog too much.
I learned how to do the flower at Little Birdie Secrets. They had a video showing you exactly how to make it! Isn't it great when people share!
If you wanna see a god-awful-I'm-gonna-kick-Leslie's-butt-for-posting picture of me crocheting, check out Leslie's recent Happy Birthday Kyra post.

Are you serious, Didi?! I'll make a bunch and you can have what you want. I'm not following a pattern though 'cause I don't really know how, and since I kinda don't know what I'm doing either got mistakes in um.
Betty, the basics are kinda easy. And I'll probably just stick to the basics.

Hahaha!! I been looking for those big silk flowers too Didi.
You are multi-talented. I only know how to crotchet a really long string. Yep.
That's the start Mariko!
My dad and Tyson both bought hats very similar to these from some hat store in the mainland. Tys said he paid $30 or so...
Super cute!!! How do you have all this time to take pictures, make hats, cards, etc?!
30 bucks!!! Imagine, I'm using my mom's leftover yarn, so for me it's free to make. I do wish I had more time!
