It tasted a bit salty and grainy. I kinda didn't like it.

I'm with you all. That was something "nasty" to eat. Never like it!
My mom used to substitute regular eggs for salted duck eggs in her pork hash and it was very yummy! Haven't had it in years though since my mom passed away. I wouldn't even know where to buy it.
