Omiyage Giveaway

I decided to show you the stuff in this giveaway in a video rather than a photo. Also, below are a couple of links describing two of the items.

Sansho powder is made from a type of Japanese pepper. The article here claims that sansho powder makes things 100 times more flavorful. BTW, I said "sanshU" in the video . . . it's sanshO.

Kewpie Arabiki Mustard is said to be a popular condiment in Japan and is described here.

You can enter the drawing by leaving a comment here or by emailing me at JalnaA@aol.com. I'll announce the winner on Sunday, January 7. Good luck!

Hi Phyllis! We went with Panda Travel this time. We stayed at two different hotels. Our room at Sunshine Prince Ikebukuro surprised me in that it was probably the tiniest tour-provided rooms I ever stayed in. The air conditioner was turned off for the winter and it was a bit too warm for me and Lan. The second hotel was Grand Nikko in Odaiba and was the exact opposite. It was luxurious and very spacious, had air and a beautiful view. I'm stoked that you commented . . . your name is in!!

Yay, Jenny!!

You don't have to add me to your giveaway since I've just been to Japan. However, I wanted to tell you we brought back that hato sabure (dove cookies) too. It was very good and everybody was buying it. It was soooo much fun to watch your video!!!!

Happy New Year, Jalna! Sorry that man was so rude to you about the watch.
I got some watches if you like!

Yay, Chet . . . was hoping you'd enter!

Kay, we were at Ameyoko when the tour guide announced that she would lead any interested people to a good cookie place. At the time I didn't know about the cookies and so decided not to venture into the crowds with them and instead took a less crowded route. When we returned to the bus she shared the cookie, and I loved it! I was so happy to see it in Seibu Department store the next day.

Hoo hoo, Kat. You're in!

Happy New Year to you too, Annie! Glad you're still checking out the blog!
