The only things we've done are Wendell bought a Battery Generator and a spare Battery in case the power goes out for days like it did the last time we had a storm.
And I brought in my seedlings. They're Habanero and Thai chili peppers. I know, I know. I suck at growing pepper plants, but Landon gave me the peppers and asked me to try and grow the seeds. He also gave me a Serrano pepper, but none of those seeds sprouted.

They were sold out of the generator at the Hawaii Kai Costco, so Wendell went to the Waipio one. They had just received a shipment. This was yesterday.
About the seedlings. I can do seedlings ok. After that is when I fail. None of my Hawaiian chili pepper plants survived. And I was so hopeful too.

I think slugs or some other critter eats the pepper seedling. I planted a bunch of jalapeno that were sprouting nicely and overnight only 2 were left. Grrrr.
LOL I only bought the flashlight/lantern that Costco had on sale a couple weeks ago. super relying on my propane stove to eat ramyum and canned tuna. just hoping power stays on so my fridge is ok.
Our power outages are usually not bad in Manoa where I live but if some main transformer goes down..... Still,
Hoping your location is not damaged or flooded. I didn't know they made battery operated generators. Must be an amazing battery. Only a lucky few in the flatlands of Kansas have gasoline powered generators. The news describes people using them incorrectly too many times. We have a t-shirt in some Kansas Sampler shops that describes our tornado sirens mounted on top of tall poles as the only "trees" in Kansas. I prefer to think of them as Kansas palms. Linda

Be safe! We’ve been getting a lot of storms too! My plants came into my house for one of the super typhoons earlier this year but so did those little frogs, earthworms, spiders and everything else that hid in my plants! So for the last typhoon last month the plants stayed outside in the hallway leading to my front door and for the ones left to Mother Nature I just lay them on their side on the ground and they survived.
