Wendell invited some friends over for lunch the other day so I had to clean up the counter so they'd have someplace to sit and eat.

Ha! That is my house. When company comes I am like a chicken without a head trying to clear away surface tops and hide the stuff.
However, I must say, after immersing myself in Mari Kondo's book, The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up, my house is looking cleaner and clearer. Not quite there all the time, but getting really close - sometimes. I really need to do a post on it. Wish I had taken before pictures.

j: my whole unit looks like dat! My excuse is cuz I no moe closet space (studio) I open drawers and put crap on them so all my drawers are open w/ stuff piled high on them. My landlord who is a clean freak - so clean she doesn't have any furniture in the livingroom - would freak badly. As for Mari Kondo, I gave up that....to me she's too extreme and it's not realistic. No, I live by my own rules and most ppl do not live in model house showcase. That's not life and doomed to fail. I no need more guilt. I'm a slob loud and proud. -N
