Latest

Nothing really interesting to share so here's a page from my Volume 2 Art Journal. It's actually not my latest. My latest page is a scary-looking bolohead girl. I'll show you guys later.

I painted this with some Winsor and Newton acrylics that I got in a small set from Ross for $5. I really, really like the quality of the paint. This scene evolved from the shapes of the torn-up ephemera that I had glued on and painted over. It wasn't planned . . . it just happened.

I seem to like things floating in air . . . first a kite, then a balloon and now flower petals. The girl is similar to one in my Jane Davenport book.

I don't go to Ross often except around the holidays or when I've been watching HGTV a lot. But I've seen a lot of paint sets lately and cheap too so I hesitated. After seeing this, WOW, cheap doesn't necessarily equate to blah. This looks like a million dollar work of art!

AND btw, did you see the artist kits at Costco recently? Wasn't sure if they were good stuff but had complete sets for either watercolor, acrylic, oil, pencil art, each sold separately. And then there was a monstrous set for all kinds of media.

LOL, Susan, I think you would enjoy painting and incorporating with your rubber stamping.

Thanks Aunty. I haven't seen the kits at Costco. I'll check them out next time I go there.

Thanks Izsmom!
