I had heard that Donut King was known for their Maple Bacon Donut ($3.25) so I bought one on my recent trip there. It turned out to be not too much of a hit at my house. After our initial bite-sized taste test (which is kinda how we do pastry here), nobody returned for more. I ended up throwing away half. Which is a good thing, I guess.

I love bacon and I love donuts, but just can't bring myself to eat it together. I still keep my bacon, ham or whatever breakfast meat I eat separate from my syrup soaked pancakes or waffles. LOL.
Not sure if I posted this in your other donut entry but you've got to try Mr. Donut's & Bakery in Downtown. It's on Hotel Street across from the Longs' and Ross Store.
