Wendell saw something like this on an episode of Diner's, Drive-Ins and Dives and then made up his own recipe to make um. He just got some chicken, potatoes, tomatoes and peppers and sautéed them in taco seasoning. Then he put um on a fried corn tortilla and sprinkled with cheese. It was as good as it looks!

Wow. Wendell is quite the talent in the kitchen, isn't he? Looks deliciously decadent!!
Jalna, That's Awesome! Flat like that is called a Tostada.
If it were a fried taco shell and folded in half it would be a taco.
I make Mexican food all of the time in my kitchen and I fry my own corn tortillas. Mexican food has been my favorite since I first visited San Diego in 1968!
Now that's way back when you could not even buy Salsa in Honolulu! Seriously!
I used to pay to have my friends in San Diego mail to me La Victoria Salsa Suprema! It has been my Favorite for years!
Yummmm! I wish I could sample. I had the crunchy wrap slider from Taco Bell today - the bacon lettuce tomato one. Onolicious and $1.79! Wendell's creation would be a welcome addition to the Taco Bell menu.
Thanks for the mention yesterday. So cute your cases! You are like the Eveready bunny that keeps going and making things. I actually got into my sewing space last night and did a little repair on pants - felt great to get thread and needle moving again.

It was decadent, Lorna . . . especially 'cause he fried that shell thing in oil.

Looks great! I watch the show sometime. Hawaii's Fresh Catch (?)restaurant was featured in the show.
I'm trying to guess how old Mr. Shelby is from his comment but couldn't.
Akemi, he's around my age (60's).
