Ume Jam

Have you ever tried ume jam?  My new friend Ryan gave me some and I shared it with the people at work.  I put some of the jam on crackers and cream cheese and passed them out.  Then I left the remainder in the lounge.  It was a hit!  Ryan's mom who lives in Hilo grows her own fruit and makes the jam.  Thank you, thank you, thank you Ryan!  And thanks for the pineapple manju too!

I have some green ume fruit that I bought from Marukai months ago.  I "tried" to pickle them . . . they taste horrible. I never dumped um . . . they're still in the 'fridge.  Maybe I'll try and turn um into jam instead.  What you think?
