Vietnamese Mochi Treat

My brother's wife, Diem, bought this for me from somewhere in Chinatown. I really, really liked it. It came two in a container with about six smaller mochi balls, all swimming in a shallow pool of a gingery-tasting liquid. A coconut milk sauce and sesame seed topping came separately. Instead of the usual an on the inside there was a yellow-colored filling, more salty than sweet. It was veeery different. Thank you Diem!!
