This is a portion of the mural between Washington Middle School and Zippy's. Small-kine mishap happened on our way to the second mural across the street. I majorly nose-dived off a wall we decided to climb. I skinned my elbow and knee, but not to worry, everything happened in so slow motion that I had time to think, "S A V E . . . T H E . . . C A M E R A !" The camera and my favorite lens that was attached suffered no damage at all.
We then went to Kaka'ako Park where Arieta and her sister tried out some cardboard sliding. . .
and kite flying.

Nice! The kite flying shot is so cool! how did you make it fit just right into the shot! Also, love the colors in the shot of her and the mural.
Thanks Shun Wah! Arieta was really good at keeping the kite at just the right height. The hard part was trying to get both Arieta and the kite exposed properly. I always love the colors in Prime's murals.
owwee! hope you feel better!
glad you got some great shots!
Hahaha. Thanks Kat! Arieta made sure I cleaned up my owee real good, so it's healing nicely.
Oh, Jalna! Please be careful! Don't want you getting all banged up and the camera equipment too. Glad it wasn't really bad and you are healing good. Arieta is a beautiful girl!! You got some fantastic shots.
I do have to remember to be more careful, Betty. I ain't as graceful as I used to be. Hahaha!
OWWEEEE! Wow, impressed that you saved the camera! BTW, thank god you never came with me to Hilo...such a waste of time! Well, at least I got to hang out with some good friends, wait till you see my blog later, it was hilarious.

I like the kite! Where did you find it? Damn..you are HARD CORE!!! You DOVE for the camera? Ha, ha.
I found the kite at Walmart. It was cheap . . . 2 or 3 bucks. I liked the red tail. Did I ever tell you the story of how a long time ago my then boyfriend wanted to fly a kite so we went out and bought one . . . da kine with the two wooden sticks that you criss cross. He was like all excited as we sat and put it together. When we finally had it assembled, I stood up and immediately lost my balance and stepped on the kite, cracking the two sticks. I was clumsy even back then. I thought it was hilarious . . . he was soooo pi$$ed off. Since this is such a small island, I think I'll mention his name . . . Scott Mochizuki . . . in case some reader might know him. I doubt he'll even remember the incident.
...beautiful...just beautiful!
Thanks Vince!
