About a month ago Kai scared me with what appeared to be difficulty breathing. It happened twice in the evening and once the next morning when I took the below video.
I made a squeeze-in-emergency-rate appointment with the vet. I showed her the video and she laughed. She said that it's called a reverse sneeze, and is just that . . . a sneeze. I was so relieved, and more so when she said, "no charge".

I know exactly how you felt. Our older dog does this and the first time she did it, I freaked out too! I looked it up and felt relieved.

Like he is snorting in the galagala in order to cough it out. It does seem scary but men do it all the time.
Goodness! That does look a tad unique. I've seen dogs do an inhaling movement through their nostrils, but Kai almost looked like a cat starting to get rid of a hairball. Nice that the vet was calm and didn't charge. Linda in Kansas
Glad it’s nothing serious! Our pets are family and we have the same emotions for them just like our human family members.
glad he was okay, I would’ve freaked out too
I'm glad Kai is ok. Interesting, Nice of vet, to charge free99...
My friend Ryan mentioned that it might be the sneeze, but I had already made the appointment so kept it just in case.
OMG, you too funny!
Exactly!
Thanks!
Right!!
The vet was also Kona's. She's really nice.
