Hi!

Just a quick check in to say, "Hi!"  Here's my view at 6:30 a.m. mostly every morning.  Doing some art "on da desk" with Amazon shopping and a YouTube tutorial on my monitor.  Multitasking. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Been enjoying my break.  I did film a few videos awhile back, but got real lazy since then.

Hope you peoples are doing okay.  Times are getting scarier and scarier to me.  My doorbell rang yesterday, and I was nervous to go check.  It was just my neighbor, but still . . .

I'm planning on making Cleta's OMG So Ono Cheesecake Bars today.  Wish me luck!

K den.  Bye.  Take care and Stay Safe!

V, hahahaha . . . to be honest, me too, I was wondering when my one-month break was up.

Wow! You have a really great workspace.

Scared? Why? COVID? Did you see that CDC just relaxed the guidelines further. I don't know what to believe.

Sending positive vibes to you! Believe that everything will be alright - because it will.

I have a little grandson who is rather hyper and curious and he likes books. Japanese baby books are so simple - a picture or two, sometimes repeating, with a few words on each page. Sometimes only one word. English books are too wordy and with too much going on each page. With your talent, how about making books for babies? You draw a fish, and just write "FISH" on the page across. I love the art in most children's books and your art is just as good!

Kay, it's not really covid that's got me nervous. It's the increasing violence. About a week ago a man got robbed at gunpoint in the parking lot where I used to work. I had just been there previously at around the same time in the morning with my mom! The KHON2 article I read said that there were 682 crimes reported within a mile of the robbery in the last month. One month! Here's the article: https://www.khon2.com/local-news/victim-of-honolulu-armed-robbery-hopes-to-get-irreplaceable-sketchpad-back/.

Then there were reports of people encountering burglaries in progress in their own homes. One was in Aina Haina, a residential area much like my own. You might need to log on to read, but here's the Star Advertiser article: https://www.staradvertiser.com/2021/04/05/breaking-news/aina-haina-resident-55-confronts-2-suspected-robbers-in-home/.

This is all very frightening to me.

Hi Jalna! Glad you’re keeping busy. I totally understand your wariness about being out and about with the increase in violent crimes here in Hawaii. I feel the same way. Just gotta be extra vigilant and aware of your surroundings. Hopefully as things open up more and people feel more comfortable out and about that will deter the “criminal element” from doing things. Take care and hope you start posting more soon. Miss your posts.
