ummm....helllooo....looks rather haauuuggeeee to me .... ;-{
Hahaha, :)
I love praying mantises. I believe what you photographed is a female, as I think they're much larger than the males. They eat icky bugs that we do NOT want in our yards and gardens!
Lol!! I'm sure that insect was scared of the Haka Dancer just as much, haha.
j: he's thinking, we did a little dance now let's get down and party, babe. heh. Once I was in my yard, and we got lotsa flies, so I'm always shaking my leg. Well I felt something on my leg, shook it and it didn't get off, so automatically w/ my hand I flicked it away...and when I looked, it was a freaking centipede. cue lots of screaming and chicken skin. aarghhhhh N
I love Praying Mantis because of how they eat bugs. Fascinating insects - they hatch out of a basket like cocoon and eat anything bigger than themselves as they grow, including their brothers and sisters.
Amazing that you had your camera ready. You carry it everywhere?
lol
Oh my! He is missing his left foot! I think you broke it! ; )
I hope that's not bad Karma.......hehe
HAHAHAHAHHAHA I wish I saw that...but if it was me I'd be doing the same thing!
They are good sautéed with some beef base!...and some shoyu
!
It WAS, Didi!
You shoulda seen me, Mich.
Lorna, that's what Honolulu Aunty said too!
Hahaha. I agree, Lorna.
Ewwwwww . . . hahahaha. I can picture you, N.
That IS pretty fascinating, Aunty. He's still scary to me, but. I usually carry my phone in my pocket and so am camera-ready.
Kinda funny yah, Kat.
Mark, his foot is just flexed getting ready to punch me in the eye.
For sure, Les.
LOL, Anon!
OMG.. my friend would love this.. she'd take him/her home as a pet. :-)
I guess there are quite a few praying mantis lovers out there, Shun Wah. I'm so surprised.
Shun-Wah's friend would absolutely love this guy to death.
That's what she said, Erick.
The fact that she eats her husband while mating doesn't make her too adorable, I'd say.
I agree, Kay!
I actually love them. Feel bad for their husbands, though.
