A couple of hours north of Kanazawa by bus brought us to Wajima in the Noto peninsula. We first visited the morning market where a lot of obachan ladies sold their goods. The second picture shows a lady who still dives for abalone. Next is the vender who we bought steamed abalone from. They were $70 each! After that are giant lanterns at the Kiriko Art Museum. I had an ice cream sundae on the bus ride home. In the evening me and Sweetie looked for dinner at the basement level of the Daiwa Department Store.

Abalone is soooo expensive, Dean. But my son gave me money to spend so it's for him.

We love to go to Wajima next time...we were in Kanazawa but we couldn't go up there...so close but we were out of time!
