Wendell went to the Apple Store today and came home with this. I decided to stick with the old model which comes with a CD/DVD drive. This 27-inch model with Apple Care was $1,618.
Thanks for all the input peoples. I'm gonna open up the box tomorrow when my mind is fresher.

Ohhh, nice! If they offer, you should take a class on the basics, cuz it's a little different than what we are used to.
You do know that they will do all the set up for you at the store right? All you need to know is your passwords and user names. That was a big help you know
!!! sooo lucky !!! You're not gonna regret it!
You're right Mich . . . I still haven't hooked it up yet 'cause I'm not ready to be fumbling around yet.
Thank you sooooo much SUPrman!!! Me and Wendell took the iMac back to the Apple store to have them help me set it up. I'm so glad I did!
Thanks for the encouragement, Les!
I think you made a great choice; you're all set for editing your images with Photoshop; I wonder if you'll have to upgrade your PS cuz I assume you're now running on Mountain Lion; my Mac Mini just came in; awesome. :-)
Thank you, thank you, thank you, Rand. I really owe it to you for helping me to make up my mind. I normally take f-o-r-e-v-e-r to decide when making a big purchase like this. I'm gonna migrate doing my photo stuff on the iMac slowly . . . might take me awhile. We'll see.
