I must admit . . . I don't eat lamb. Landon made this tonight though, and it smelled really good. I still couldn't bring myself to eat it. But everybody else scarfed it so it must've been good.
Here's the best recipe I could get outta Lan.
First Landon drizzled some olive oil onto the lamb and rubbed in some thyme, rosemary, and Montreal steak seasoning. Then he handed the lamb over to Wendell who threw it onto the hibachi, covered it and let it sear for just a few minutes.
After the hibachi searing, Landon coated the lamb with some Dijon mustard. On top of the mustard coating, he put on another coat of an olive oil/panko/parsley paste. He then baked the lamb in the oven at 415 degrees for 18 minutes.
The sauce is just a few Rainier cherries sauteed in some Punahou Carnival mango chutney.

I don't eat lamb either, it's the "gamey" taste I don't care for, but Len and my mother-in-law would be drooling if they saw this!
It's kinda oily too yah Mich. It sure looked good though.
Baaa, I like lamb.
Hi Jalna
This comment is very off topic but I just had to share. The documentary " The Manzanar Fishing Club" is now playing at the Koko Marina theaters. I saw it when it was showing at Kahala Mall last month. Great film about how the internees outwittted the MPs to go fishing outside of the camp. Great for history buffs AND for fishermen like myself!
Forgot to post link of showtimes.

I thought you'd like lamb, Erick!
I meant to go check out the movie with my mom, but never had the chance. Thanks for the reminder!
wow looks good!
I love lamb - looks ONO!
Landon should quit PH and open up a food truck :-)
Yah it did look really good, Kat!
Hope you get to try out Lan's recipe, Dean.
Awww, thanks Les!
Wow, how did I miss this post??? I've probably told you before, I LOVE lamb!!! This recipe sounds so awesome...fresh young lamb does not have a gamey smell or taste...it is older lamb or what would be referred to as mutton. Gerry doesn't like lamb either so I seldom eat it unless we go out and it is on the menu.
Ahhhh, I see Betty . . . young lamb! This lamb that they cooked didn't have the gamey smell. I even wondered if they're being raised differently.
