Kona's Cushion

I've been noticing that, like me, Kona's been getting up from a lying position more slowly lately. I thought that he might like lying down on something more comfortable than the hard floor. I mentioned it to Wendell and he bought this cushion from Costco. It was around $30.

Kona didn't like it. He took to it like he did this toy that I bought for him a couple of years ago: Dog Intelligence Toy.

Kona's normally a scaredy-cat, so I figured that maybe he didn't like the height. I took out the stuffing.

Yup, it's the height.

So here's my plan. I'm gonna slowly stuff things into the cover and gradually build it up. Whatcha think?

I think that would be a totally fantastic idea. I would think that once he gets used to it, he'll lie on it. If he starts avoiding it, you can unstuff it again.

Awwww....
We go through so many pet beds a year. They make a mess and we end up putting it for trash. One of our dogs, likes to rip it apart and take the cushion out.
Right now, there's about 8 pet beds around the house.

That's a fun idea Jalna, stuffing it slowly. We will need some time lapse photography. ; )

Do it!

Kona is such a sweet doggie! I have that huge cushion from Costco for our dogs. Not sure if I like it but it serves its purpose. I heard that mini trampolines are good for dogs to lie on but I haven't set mine up yet - when I do, I plan to also use it to bounce around a little and shake up my lymph nodes (supposed to be good for me).

I give Gracie, our 14 year old pit bull, curcumin with her dinner food and also a liquid for arthritis that I order from the mainland called Artho RX from Vetionex because I suspected that she had cancer (big tumor on her back and smaller ones here and there) and she was diagnosed with joint damage and arthritis in her joints by our vet.

The supplements really helped her - sometimes she dances and flies down the side of our house and I have to tell her to slow down - but she is deaf so she doesn't listen.

Actually, I am thinking of ordering another product called Projoint Plus because it is easier to administer (chews) and costs a little less on autoship.

Doggies are so wonderful. They love us and protect us. Keep on spoiling Kona!

j: my one dog prefered the hard cement floor at night when I rented though he did use my bed. My other dog loves soft, the dog bed, my pillow, my bed. You so akamai about figuring out what Kona needs though, that's great. -N

Hahaha, thanks, Kat.

N, Kona's been using it off and on now. I'm glad he's giving it a try at least.

Funny, Mich!
