Bangkok Chef

I was so happy when Bangkok Chef opened up a restaurant in Manoa. Not only is it closer now, but they're open on Sundays! The portions are good sized and the prices reasonable.
No. 6 Panang Pork Curry ($7.25 ala carte)
No. 31 Spring Roll, also comes with lettuce and cucumber ($5.95)
No. 24 Chicken Larb ($6.95) Wendell doesn't care for this minced chicken salad, but I love it.
No. 10 Eggplant Chicken ($7.25 ala carte)
No. 1 Pad Thai ($5.70)

uuuuuuu...bangkok chef!! Hey you gotta try the vegetarian spring rolls, they're better than the regular ones! I don't know why, they really shouldn't be but they are! So does everything taste the same as the Nuuanu one?

This all looks yummy. I've only had Thai food once. Most of what we had was too spicy for me. Real bummer!

I tried the Fried Chicken wings. It was just ok! The spring rolls was good though. My cousin likes this place. I guess maybe I should try something else, like the Panang curry. Price is reasonable for the amount the give which is a lot.

Wow Les, good tip. I woulda never have thought to try the vegetarian spring rolls. Next time. The food we ordered tasted exactly like the Nuuanu one to me.

I loooove Thai food, Betty. You should give it another chance.

Shun Wah, it's a little past Manoa Marketplace.

Mmiissee, we always make sure to order the spring rolls whenever we go there.

yup, good place. sometimes it feels cramped and crowded in there but not a big deal. the workers are generally very nice...

not for those who don't like spicy stuff but the tom yum soup is always delicious...

No. 6 Panang Pork Curry -- is my favorite thing there!

Your pics look cleaner now, Jalna. Seems that you figured out how to upload them efficiently. Great job!

Hey Rand, I don't think I've tried the tom yum soup . . . next time.

Thanks Tyson. I think what might be making the difference is that I've been selecting "Bicubic Sharper" when I resize my image for web viewing. I tried doing it the Flickr way, but probably wasn't doing it right and wasn't happy with the results.

Really reasonable prices. Panang is my favorite Thai curry. I keep a tub of Thai curry paste in the frig just for panang.

Erick, I'm beginning to realize that you must be a good cook. I think you should invite us over for dinner one day.

Ha, ha, I can cook, but no one ever said I was good.

I like their veg spring rolls too, but for some reason I don't like their pad thai. Anyone know what makes their pad thai different from other Thai restaurants? Is it just me??

Rick, looks like next time I really better try the vegetarian spring roll. I kinda agree about the pad thai . . . maybe a tad dry?

ok, good to know it's not just me on the pad thai... but yes try those veggi spring rolls! :)
