Air Time at the Skatepark

These kids were amaaaazing to watch. I missed a lot of shots cause of my slow reaction time and autofocusing not being as quick as the kids. Hopefully I'll do better next time (and there will be a next time). I did catch these though. My final set of pictures still to come in a day or two.

Anthony from Guam

I met Anthony and his cousin Bryan just as I was leaving the skatepark yesterday. I followed them back to the park to catch a few shots of Anthony's first riding experience in Hawaii. I heard him mention to Bryan that the slopes were steeper than back in Guam. He really seemed to be enjoying himself. More skatepark pictures to come.

Skateboarders

To you skateboarders who I met today in Hawaii Kai, thanks for not killing me out there at the park. Your pictures are coming up next.

Garden of Fortune

My good friend Mano asked if I could help take some photos for his friend Ken who just acquired the Garden of Fortune establishment in Chinatown. Smoothies!!! Ummmm yesssss!! Me and Les were so there! Don't forget to check out Leslie's pics.

The Garden of Fortune is in the heart of Chinatown at 102 North Hotel Street.

Here's Ken and his two kids. Ken is like the nicest, nicest guy. I felt bad cause me and Leslie kinda turned the place upside down, moving things around, messing up stuff . . . like we usually do on a shoot.

I did get to taste some of the smoothies and they were really, really good!

Here's the pineapple smoothie.

Here's their specialty, sugar cane juice, made from fresh squeezed sugar cane. It was very refreshing.

Kona's Haircut

For some reason Wendell's dad decided Kona needed a haircut. I thought his butcher job was kinda funny at first, but as the trimming continued daily I started to worry. Finally when Kona's beautiful feathery tail got turned into a stub, I had to ask Wendell to ask his dad to stop. I think it'll take awhile for Kona's fur to get back to normal cause it doesn't really grow, it just sheds.

Chili's

The Oka family sent me a thank-you gift card from the mainland! So nice yeah! Thank you guys! So me and Wendell got to try out Chili's. Would you believe it was the first time for both of us.

This is Wendell's Classic Bacon Burger ($11.99) When you exercise regularly like he does you deserve to eat something like this.
IMG_3920a

He even ordered this cup of chili ($2.99). It was very tasty.

When you're a sloth (I stole this word from Les) like me who doesn't exercise, you gotta eat salads. This is the Grilled BBQ Chicken Salad ($13.49). It was ono, but it did get a bit wilted towards the end.
IMG_3924a

I ordered this cup of Chicken Enchilada Soup ($2.99) too . . . super, super ono, but ho da messy yeah!

Thank you Randy, Robin, Kassandra, Nick and Kaylee!! Hope to see you again soon!
