Wahiawa Sakura

Earlier this month Cleta and her family went on an excursion to view the sakura in Wahiawa.

Thanks for sharing your photos, Cleta!  So beautiful!

I want to go see, too! But I really hate to drive far nowadays.

We've been there to look at the sakura which was fun. We couldn't find a lot of trees though.

Izsmom, I agree!

Aunty, Cleta mentioned that trees were planted recently at Manoa District Park.

Kay, cool outing.

Kat, yah!

I got a sakura from a guy in Wahiawa and planted it but it has never bloomed. I suspect it doesn't get enough sun because my neighbor's giant lychee tree blocks some of the sun. There might still be hope because the ones the Wahiawa Sakura Society planted around Manoa blooms sometimes as late as May. Then again, it is in full sunlight. Oh well.
