But I had to share with you this place that Wendell went to by the Fisherman's Wharf-ish area. At the end of Ward on Ala Moana Boulevard.
They have $5 bento! I haven't tried any that he bought yet so I can't vouch for ono-ness, but they sure look good.

Pop in anytime! I go to that $5 Bento place a lot. The fish is overcooked - after I tried it 2 times, I said to myself, "no more fish from there." The hamburger steak is excellent, the steak and onions is ono. I don't know how they can sell it for $5 but I like it!
Aww......got homesick fior blogging. I use to be a regular customer at the $5 Bento, now it's once a week. For the budget conscious; an for me a retiree on a fixed income, good on the wallet. Some of the items are a hit or miss. My favorites is the Sautéed Shrimp, Steak and Onions and Pork Chop (though the texture is like leather....LOL,a generous portion.), I've had the fish, it was really dry.Hey, what do you expect for $5

I bought beef stew, hamburger with onions and shoyu chicken. K couldn't believe it was only $5 and actually a decent size serving. He ate the beef stew and liked which I'm amazed because he's very picky. He tasted a bite of the hamburger and said not bad. He'll eat the rest for lunch tomorrow along with the shoyu chicken
