We just had the house termite treated. I'm in the process of putting the food stuff back to where they belong, but I'm tired so am taking a break. All the food in the freezer and 'fridge had to be double bagged. We tossed a lot of old and expired stuff.
Technically, anything that still had the manufacturer's seal could be kept in the house, but we packed mostly everything and put it in our tool shed or left in our cars.
I found an Airbnb in Kaimuki that allowed pets, so me, Wendell and Kona stayed there for one night. Landon camped out in front of the house to stand guard against thieves.
We checked out at around 8:00 a.m. but couldn't return into the house until 4:00 p.m. so we spent the whole time just waiting.
Me and Kona were soooo happy when we were finally able to get back into the house.
Hated that job. My dad’s friend owned a fumigating company and right after high school graduation he got me a job for the summer. Even though I hated the job appreciate my dad for making me work. Established a work ethic.
I forgot to ask you if you found a place for Kona. I'm glad you did!!! It's a bitch when you gotta put everything back...but we were able to get rid of some crap that we didn't need!
I remember my sis having to pack up her house for termite treatment. Seems like a big pain to deal with but reaps benefits, I guess. You have cleared out fridge now. 😊 so happy to see Kona again!
I hate having to pack all the food stuff and the waiting until you can go home. But love that there are no cockroaches and other bugs in the house for awhile.
Ya, got to termite treat my house. I've anxiety when going through the process, especially, letting strangers into the house, some of the workers look shady, try not to be judgement.
j: what a statement to our times that Landon has to camp out there. Criminals are so brazen these days. But glad you found an pet friendly place and nearby too. And a clean refrig!! -N

Good feeling after tenting. Dang bugs.
kona looks so happy:)
Kobi, the guys worked so hard.
Les, we tossed so much stuff . . . all expired, some not even opened. We so waste.
Susan, love the cleaned out space.
Ho Izsmom. Feels so good that no more bugs for awhile.
Chet, it was very stressful, especially for Kona who doesn't like anything new or different.

N, for real yah!
What Landon did was a good idea. Some crooks so stupid they go in the tented house. If it can kill bugs might kill you too.
