Majorly stupid post here, but I just can't bring myself to throw away this zippered bag that a sheet set came in. It's ZIPPERED. And it's sturdy. What would you do? If most of you would trash it, then I will too.

I’m like you. I keep them too thinking I’ll use them but never do. So, eventually I toss it and tell myself next time, I won’t keep it in the first place, but when the next time comes, I keep the bag again, thinking for sure I’ll use it for something. LOL
Hi Jalna, not to make you nuts but this is a debate between Marie Kondo and my grandmother who never threw away anything cause she could repurpose everything. Marie will ask you "will this make you happy?". My grandmother would say "no waste, you can pack clothes in it". So my vote is to toss it cause if you pack stuff in it that means you don't need the stuff you packed?
KEEP! I had a big one and during the summer I wash my futon and store it in until cold days come around. If you going throw away, hand it over to me on Monday lol!
j: Oh yeah I do that too and it helps, really. Cuz they're thicker than most and I can all kinds of stuff in it though I have to admit I did have too many when I did a closet clean. It's good for all the little crap I keep cuz it's see-thru and it's thick (this is how I justify it in my mind at least!!!) -N
Keep! I store fabric in it. Or I store rags that I cut from old tshirts. Or anything fabric-y that I want to be able to see at a glance what is inside.
I keep everything that I feel could be useful in the future. I hate throwing things away. Especially fun things that are free! Just keep it. It folds small and flat so no space taken up. Start thinking of what precious memories you may want to store in it. It will keep them safe from moisture and dust. Tink Haaahd! And it's usefulness will come to you Auntie! The Aina will bring you your answer! ; )
Keep...I use them for storing the items that came in them namely sheet sets, also for freshly washed and folded t shirts that I don't often wear. They're also great when you're packing for a trip, they help keep things neat and visible.
You sound like Randy. I swear that guys never throws things out. I put a blanket that I thought I'd use for photoshoots in our Salvation Army pile...he asked "is this to throw out??" "Yup." I answered....then with a sly smile he says "is it my birthday???" *face palm* I should took it there myself.
Keep. I put my winter clothing in it, i.e. gloves, caps, wool socks. Makes it easy to find when I need it. I also store my fancy crochet lei to which I add a dryer sheet to keep it smelling fresh!
SOooooo…… I sewed together bunches of Aunty Sally's refrigerator scarves, dresser scarves and made large blankets .. we use 3 right now on our sofa and I gave 1 to Sweetie as well for her sofa....but I store those in a zippered old sheet/bedding case …

Trash! :) -L
Ahhhhh Anon, that's very true . . . if the stuff I put in it is only to be "saved", I don't really need the stuff.
LOL, Cleta!!!
N, we in the same boat.
Joy, me too!
L!! I like, but I no like . . . hahahahaha!!!

Or, give it to Cleta!
I do the same with department store bags.

me I would throw it out, especially if I’m in a declutter mode

Yay, Aunty!
Myko, me too! Ack!
Mark, "storing precious memories" . . . how cool.
Kat, I'm trying to be in declutter mode, but so hard.
Ricqueo, thanks for your input! Looks like "keep" won!
