We also had fried rice, noodles, chicken salad and ong choy, but my mind musta blanked out when the crab and lobster came out, and I forgot to take more photos.

Food looks yum, especially the lobster. Haven't been there in awhile, but I'm living it vicariously through the pics.
😂I was at a lost for words when I saw the crab & lobster too!
Happiest of Birthdays to your mom! 85 years young! What a blessing. How thoughtful and generous of your brother and his wife. All the food pics you posted looks super onolicious.

Happy Birthday to your Mom! What a feast!!!
Yum!!! Delicious looking, wonderful colors!
Everytime I hear or see the name of the restaurant, "Fook Yuen", it reminds me of John Heckathorn's review of the place when he used to be the foodie guy with Honolulu Magazine. It was a favorable review but at the end, he said something to the effect that he is glad they aren't having a "Fook Yuen 2".
j: not that I can eat it but is it hard eating the crab and lobster in the shell or does it slip out easily? -N
Mark, I agree!! LOL!
Aww, thanks Kat.
Chet, me too . . . can't remember the last time I was there.
Susan, see . . . that's why I forgot to take more photos.
Izsmom, thanks!
LOL, Les.
Thanks Annie!
Hahahahaha, Aunty!
N, the meat of the lobster pretty much slipped out easily, but the crab meat was harder to get to. But my sister Sweetie was having a grand ole time using all 10 fingers, cracking away, digging into the shell and just loving every bit of morsel she could get. In the end the small finger bowl that was provided to wash your fingers wasn't enough for her, and she had to go to the restroom to rinse off. LOL.
I love their food, but always get line.
