Is the orange organic?? Whole Foods opens June in Kakaako. My brother call the store "Whole Paycheck"....lol. I get my organic oatmeal there.
I like the name. We call them dekopon over here
Looks like my friend Cookie's tangelos. She brings it from Kauai for us. SO juicy and ono!!!
I tried Dekopon from Marukai, 6.99 a pound, sour! Only good thing about the Dekopon was the skin peeled easily. Then I tried the Satsuma Mandarin from Palama Market, don't remember how much, was okay, but overall the Cara Cara is my FAV.
Chet, I'm not sure if it's organic or not . . . and no kidding about "whole paycheck"! LOL.
Kat, I first saw them in Japan at a rest stop and didn't get any because I thought it was too expensive for an orange. Aiyaaa!!
So lucky, Aunty!
Mich, $6.99/pound and sour!! Lose money! I think Cara Cara is my next favorite.
yuummmmmmm! thank yoooou! Michele you gotta go Japan to eat um. Can't beat it!
$3,99 a pound? Wow
I haven't eaten oranges in a while, but I usually buy the bag of cuties.
I've noticed oranges with the knob on top seem sweeter. I don't think I've seen sumo here only tangelo or minneola. I found some cara cara again the other week but it wasn't as sweet this time.
Welcome, Les!
Mmiissee, I love oranges.
Susan, I like cara cara too, but yes, I've had some that weren't as good.
I've never heard of this, but it looks wonderful! Now I'm hungry.
Kay, it's also called dekopon.
