Saturday, October 15, 2016 Chitose, Hokkaido
This is the lobby of our hotel in Chitose. Fabulous-looking yah. Our hotel room, however, was just average . . . which is probably why I forgot to take a photo of it.
The breakfast buffet started at 6 a.m. Throughout the trip, except for the last two days or so, we tended to go down for breakfast at whatever time they opened, usually at around 6:00 or 6:30 a.m. Due to the time difference, we found ourselves waking up at around 4:00 to 4:30 a.m. anyway.
Departure time for the day was at 9:00 a.m. so after breakfast we strolled around the adjacent airport shopping area.

Confession time, in case you didn't know.

i love eating japanese breakfast...I could eat Nishime, ume , salad and seaweed soup everyday! I could sooooo do without the natto though!!
j: how awesome!! Considering it's at the airport, the prices were very reasonable. I'd go nuts buying as much bentos as I could to bring home. That breakfast buffets put the U.S.'s to shame. That's like brunch. hoo wish I could go to Nihon....N
This is bringing back even more memories. Love the food photos. Hmmmm.... natto, hunh? Art would have loved that. I see that even with my diabetic diet, I would have been fine.
:)
Anon, I love Japanese breakfasts too.
N, I agree . . . considering it was a seafood bento kiosk, the prices were very reasonable.
Kay, you could totally eat healthy picking things from the buffet.
I agree, Kat! LOL.
No need eat after that buffett. Go back to the room and sleep.
For real yah, Kobi!
Japan breakfast is da best! I miss the saba, salmon and salad with sesame dressing!
I'd have the kinpira, curry, & arabiki sausage...skip natto. Don't you love the pretty packaged stuff in Japan?!
Going to Hokkaido next year on a boat cruise. Waiting with baited breathe. Breakfast buffets in Japan hotels are so awesome with it's variety and quality.
Have fond memories of my Japan trip this year during the cherry blossom season.
Enjoy the rest of your trip.
