Jalna, Is this in the area of the old Koko Head horse stables? If so, I used to go horseback riding there as a kid. And that was before that last valley (kuliouou valley?) above Sandy Beach was filled with homes. Then when my daughter was young in the late 1980's I used to take her there for walks and to check out the animals.
One Sat. afternoon a dominant territorial goose bit her on the leg! Yikes! She cried forever! But the funny thing was, Geese don't have teeth as I kept trying to explain to her! ....hehe ; )
Mark, I don't know where the horse stables, but it's near Koko Head crater where people go hiking. The story about your daughter being bit by a goose is so cute!!
Aunty, I was so surprised how green it was when I went to go check the area out. It's usually more brownish.
Akemi, you'd be surprised to see a wider picture of the area. It's actually near a basketball gym with a parking lot in front of it. I shot the picture standing on a paved road.

My daughter kept running and the goose in charge kept chasing her! So funny, yet adorable at the same time! Best part....Geese don't have teeth! ; )
