I spock da cat dead centah in da tree! Black cat and I see two little paws hanging on for dear life!
Jalna, Is this in the area of the old Koko Head horse stables? If so, I used to go horseback riding there as a kid. And that was before that last valley (kuliouou valley?) above Sandy Beach was filled with homes. Then when my daughter was young in the late 1980's I used to take her there for walks and to check out the animals.
One Sat. afternoon a dominant territorial goose bit her on the leg! Yikes! She cried forever! But the funny thing was, Geese don't have teeth as I kept trying to explain to her! ....hehe ; )
Mark, I don't know where the horse stables, but it's near Koko Head crater where people go hiking. The story about your daughter being bit by a goose is so cute!!
Aunty, I was so surprised how green it was when I went to go check the area out. It's usually more brownish.
Akemi, you'd be surprised to see a wider picture of the area. It's actually near a basketball gym with a parking lot in front of it. I shot the picture standing on a paved road.
Jalna, see if this video link works. This is the Koko Head Stables. Still exactly like it looked long ago. Also see in the video all of the houses all around! In the good old days of the 1960's and 1970's, no houses there!

My daughter kept running and the goose in charge kept chasing her! So funny, yet adorable at the same time! Best part....Geese don't have teeth! ; )
