Beautiful Jalna! Don't you just love how the ocean is so alive and so full of changing colors!
I started surfing Waikiki at age 7. Wow, that was 1962! I learned how to swim at Waikiki at age 3 at the YWCA that was in the condo next to Fort DeRussy. Once I got older and could go off on my own Tonggs surfing spot off Diamond Head was my local hang out spot. The ocean was always my life.
So many fun days spent at Makapuu too, bodysurfing from sunrise to sundown! Some weekends I would have a sleepover party at my house with all of my church buddies. And then on Sat. morning we would get up before sunrise so we could make it to Makapuu for the sunrise and the waves all to our selves! It was always a very magical time! Peace in the morning light!
That looks almost like a painting! You have really been busy. I saw fabulous rainbows yesterday and this morning, but can't seem to capture it. I wish you were here to do it.
Thanks Susan! I actually went to Sandy Beach two mornings in a row, took a whole bunch of pictures, and this was the only one that I liked. I totally respect photographers from back in the day of film, when you can't even see the photo until after it's processed.

Thanks Kat!
"Peace in the morning light" . . . I like that, Mark! And, yes, I adore the colors of the ocean.

Gorgeous! You can sell prints!
Beautiful! I enjoyed Mark's story too...it must be fun glowing up in Hawaii.
I thought the same thing, Kay . . . that it looks like someone's painting.
Thanks, Aunty!
I enjoyed his story too, Akemi.
I can't get over this picture...it's breath taking, I can feel the mist on my face and I can hear the waves...! WOW!
