I had to stop Wendell from going out this morning. I said to him, "Wait. Wait. Wait." I had taken a bit of time folding the strips of paper for the giveaway drawing because I wanted to fold them like the omikuji that you see at Japanese shrines and temples.
Even Kona was interested to see what was happening.
Here it is. The winnah.
Congratulations Arlene!! Yeehaw!! Can you email me with your mailing address?
I'll be taking a break from blogging for a little bit. Maybe for about a week. See you shortly.

Congratulations, Arlene!
Jalna, thank you for sharing your trip to Japan. I've been looking up some of the places you showed to see if I can figure out how to get there this October.
Wow! I can't afford a formal tour. Our breakfast buffet is only musubi and couple of okazu! But hey, you get what you pay for!
Thank you for all your time and effort in posting all these pictures. I really enjoyed them, plus all your comments. Take a well deserved rest! V
j: props for blogging and sharing your trip with us, I know its a lotta work so you certainly deserve some chill-out time. BTW Arlene, I don't know you but I hate you. Wait, no congratulations. -N
j: apparently a few of 'us' are bad losers. heh. I went to Marukai and they had some kind of special ume on sale from Japan. Forget where but I'm sure it's in their ads (mom keeps ours ..gggrr) -N
I'm a poor loser too, N. There's a magazine called Pacific Weddings (or something like that) that holds photo contests. I used to enter the contests, but because I never did win, I gave up entering and unsubscribed to their emails and updates. and I don't buy their magazines anymore. LOL.
You're welcome, Kay!
I'm glad she won too, Susan! But you shouldn't feel selfish. I woulda entered if I was you.
Jalna, Keep entering contests. Just because you weren't picked, thas' okay. Judges are different, each looks for something that only they understand. Costco has contests, I think got plenty other contests. Even Humane Society had one and if they pick yours then your pet is in their calendar. I shall keep you in mind and send you contest links when I see them. In my book, you already won the Photollitzer award because you make everyone want to eat and shop with your pictures.
Aww, thanks Aunty. I used to be more gung ho back when I first started taking pictures. Now, not so much. Hey, but thanks for the Photollitzer award! Can't beat that!

I'm sad I didn't win, but then if I won I would feel bad - NOT that Arlene (hiss hiss nah nah) should feel bad. Mwaahaaahaaahaaa.
Congrats to the winner and thank you much for sharing and making me sit on the edge of my computer chair for many days, Jalna.
