It's been kinda crazy here at my house with renovations the last couple of days. I was planning to take a break from blogging like I usually do in December, but I wanted to share these photos. Here is the wall that separates our living room from the dining/kitchen area. Look at our mismatch furniture. LOL!!! So funny, yah!
They broke down the wall yesterday.
Here is the "before" view from the other side of the wall. I took this picture the day before demolition while I was baking xmas cookies. Notice in the background . . . our third rice cooker. We finally went with a Zojirushi.
Here is "after".
This is our tile floor yesterday.
Here's the start of our new tile floor today.
Our "before" kitchen. The cabinet on the right didn't even have a door.
This was the kitchen yesterday.
This is the kitchen today. Stove, oven, sink . . . GONE.
Here's part of our backyard.
I still wanna take a break from blogging so that I can take care of Bah Humbug Xmas Stuff, but I'll try to continue to bring you updates of the renovations as they happen.
Jalna.....I wish we still had our Marsh Company Home Furnishings, so I could help make your home look beautiful too! You would get the owners son's best discount! ; )
I'm so excited to see the finished product! How exciting for you (or should I say for your son and hubby...hehe). And I love how your contractors look so happy...hahaha
I'm sooooo Jellos but excited for you!!! I'm waiting for Randy to surprise me and let me redo the kitchen too. Our cabinet no more door either! It broke one day when Randy when open um.
Although I have blog posts scheduled until the end of this month, I'm technically on break. There are too many things happening this month. I don't know how well you know my cousin but his sister is not doing well. We are devoting most of our energy to her right now.
What an adventure! You must be anxiously awaiting the final product, and I can't wait what to see your kitchen looks like. I wish I could afford to do it, but right now, still have other things to pay for (photovoltaic, mortgage -- bleah). The chaos you're living with now will all be forgotten when you are able to EMBRACE your new cabinets!!!
more room now, yeah? I enjoy watching the Property Brothers. It's amazing the ideas they come up with to give that perfect home that couples have imagined.
