Go Kini Go!!
Every week I look forward to Project Runway on Thursday nights. My absolute favorite contestant is Kini Zamora, not just because he's from Hawaii, but because he is so GOOOOOOD! Below is Kini's dress from last night's episode that he made from soccer balls. You can find out more about it here in Nadine Kam's story.
It's crunch time now with only three episodes to go. The final episode will show the last three contestants competing at Fashion week.

Soccer balls? I've never watched this because... ummm... we don't have cable. Still relying on unreliable antennae. My husband considers it a challenge.
J: I just stumbled onto to it last nite. I'm kinda glad to see only the last episodes to get to the real designers. I loved that dress though all I could think of was how sweat won't evaporate and if it's super hot like now, rivers of sweat can be running down your legs. Or how inside it'll be all slippery. That girl Kori? Kari? ooh soooo nasty. -N
I've been pulling for Kini to win the whole thing. I can't believe Korina's childish egomaniacal behavior through the process. The universe is trying to tell her something but, judging from next week's promo, Korina just doesn't get it. Too bad because she's setting herself up for harder lessons still ... "Pride goes before a fall."
Hmmm, I might have to start watching this.
No cable, Kay? Now that does sound challenging!
N, I'm so unstylish, but I love Project Runway. Dunno why. You shoulda seen the "rainway" episode where it was raining on the runway. That one was so cool! Kini made an umbrella dress and Sean hid powdered dye in his so that his white dress turned colorful when it got wet. !!!!
Shirley, I agree with you about Korina.
Erick, Kini's design partner in Hawaii is a fashion photographer turned designer.
aww! you mean i missed almost the entire season and there's a Hawaii contestant that made it that far? I lost track of what channel it's on and what day it's on. Thanks for the update. Better go check the TV guide to fine out when it's on TV. Hope he makes it to fashion week.
Crossing my fingers too, Shun Wah!
I have never seen that show. I know a few designers from Portland won in the past shows. And one of winner will be back for All Star show...that's I read in newspaper.
I think the dress is dynamite!
Ha ha ha, an another funny comment from Anonymous.
