Aomori Apple Juice
A couple of weeks ago Marukai had an Aomori Prefecture Food Fair. There were a lot of interesting and ono stuff on sale, but this was my favorite. It's called "Kibo no Shizuku" (A Drop of Hope) apple juice. It was expensive . . . $6.99 . . . but it was so worth it.
And this is why. Apple is the only ingredient. It tastes like you're drinking an apple. I loved it. The next time you're at Marukai you should treat yourself to a bottle (or two). You deserve it.
Here's what the Marukai flyer said about the drink:
The JA Aoren apple juice makers have developed a unique method to produce the best juice available. Fresh apples from Aomori are grated, and the juice extracted and bottled in a closed environment free of oxygen. This prevents oxidation, and makes it unnecessary to add antioxidants to the juice to keep the color of the juice stable. Grating the apples adds greater flavor to the juice and heightens the apple fragrance.
Kibo no Shizuku apple juice has won both the Gold Quality Award from Monde Selection, and the Superior Taste Award from the International Taste and Quality Institute.

Now I gotta try that! Hey the Keeaumoku Store has ears of corn for .39 per ear! It's not super sweet but it is sweet, only prob is the husk is thick. I think they still had quite a bit today. Mahalo for the 411 on the juice -N
I haven't been to Keeaumoku Market in awhile, N. Think maybe I'll go check it out today. Thanks!
Wow, made in environment with no oxygen! Wanna try that!
Amazing yah, Susan! I went to Marukai this morning. They didn't have any left. I bought another brand that is almost as good and is a little cheaper.
I love to try it! And love the name.
I bought a Sydney apple today thinking that it's from Australia but no it's produced in Columbia Gorge, Oregon. G'day mate!
I never heard of a Sydney apple, Akemi. Nowadays got all kinds, yah!!
Sounds ono, but I no more Marukai.
Oh too bad, Erick. It's my favorite place to shop.
