Aunty Sally is my mom's sister. She's 83 years old. She's slowed down quite a bit and lately has been falling a lot. She's been in the hospital recuperating for the past few days. My mom visits her every day, and pretty much stays all day.
Aunties are precious, special people in our lives. I am sorry to hear your aunty is not doing good. I hope she is better soon. Your mom is such a special person too, to stay there all day long with her sister. The strong bonds between siblings that can't be broken are absolutely priceless!!
So neat about the newspaper article headline on the same day you took that shot. Cool shot. Too bad she's hiding her face...camera shy like your mom, eh? :)
First of all, I hope your aunt is doing better and will be able to continue w/ her daily routines. I know that's important w/ older folks. Secondly, nice shot!! I really like that you got headlines and yet you kept the privacy of the moment. That's a good catch of the newspaper..

Betty, those are the exact words my mom uses when she talks about her sister. She calls her "precious".

Les, soooo true about being camera shy. I had to reassure my mom that their faces were obscured.
