Remember the DAISO sushi shaker that I blogged about previously?
Leslie got ahold of one and let me be the first to try it. I put kamaboko in the middle and then topped it with more rice.
My video is in the wrong orientation . . . sorry . . . I forgot to hold my phone horizontally.
Ummmm . . . I would give myself an F for fail. I hope Leslie has better luck than me.
Addendum: Okay, it seems that I did the thing totally wrong. I'm supposed to shake, shake, shake for awhile then put the nori in. I put the nori in from the beginning. Then there are demarcation lines to show you how much rice to put in. I didn't realize that and musta put in too much rice. Still . . . Leslie, it's your turn.
HaHaHaHa! So funny, you shaking and the piece of nori on the floor. I had my potential son-in-law and my sister bring back these sushi shakers and we had a "sushi rocking party" with young people last week. A few did well, but if they put too much rice, it was harder to shake and roll. Plus, I messed up with the sushi rice - gotta make the rice a little drier than normal and then add the sushi mixture in the hot rice. Otherwise, the rice is mushy - bad rice, bad rice!
lmk if you want another one - I got more than I needed because both people brought back and didn't know the other one got because they were in Japan almost the same time.
u look like u were frustrated.. shaking it so hard, u broke the nori! haha.. Sort of like how i type when i stay mad.. i broke off my 'enter' button. tee hee. cq
