We're all pau! Well, the workers are pau. Me, I'm still trying to figure out where's the best place to put stuff back to now. I'm really, really happy with how things turned out. I would highly recommend the people who did our job. They're called El Villa Construction, LLC, and you can reach them at 554-4856. Robert and Elvis were the main workers . . . very conscientious and hard-working filipino guys . . . and they're so, so nice. We're so pleased with the outcome that Wendell asked them to do more work around the house for us. They'll be back after the New Year's to fix up our small (really tiny) extra bathroom and our back sliding door.
Here are the before and after pictures for you. Before

Before

Before
After We also got a new microwave, oven and stove top.
This countertop got widened.
Here's a close-up of the cabinets. There is a really neat corner unit called a "magic corner" that gives you easy access to the deep part of an inner corner cabinet. I have a video of Wendell demonstrating how it works. It'll be on my next post.
It's been a week that we've been living like this . . . just a little bit messier than usual.
Kona's doing not too bad.
We realized that we've got a lot of crap we need to get rid of.
Here's a small-kine preview of our kitchen cabinets.
And here's my one photo of this year's marathon for you. Was raining too much for me. I don't like to get wet 'cause I'm scared that I'm gonna get sick. Back in my younger days I didn't care at all about getting wet. Now, I totally care.
It was nephew Jason's turn to get married yesterday. He and Cory got hitched on the grounds of the Halekulani Hotel. The Garden Courtyard provided a beautiful setting for the nuptials.
It's been kinda crazy here at my house with renovations the last couple of days. I was planning to take a break from blogging like I usually do in December, but I wanted to share these photos. Here is the wall that separates our living room from the dining/kitchen area. Look at our mismatch furniture. LOL!!! So funny, yah!
They broke down the wall yesterday.
Here is the "before" view from the other side of the wall. I took this picture the day before demolition while I was baking xmas cookies. Notice in the background . . . our third rice cooker. We finally went with a Zojirushi.
Here is "after".
This is our tile floor yesterday.
Here's the start of our new tile floor today.
Our "before" kitchen. The cabinet on the right didn't even have a door.
This was the kitchen yesterday.
This is the kitchen today. Stove, oven, sink . . . GONE.
Here's part of our backyard.
I still wanna take a break from blogging so that I can take care of Bah Humbug Xmas Stuff, but I'll try to continue to bring you updates of the renovations as they happen.
