We found out from the sellers at the Kam swap meet that the fee for them to sell at Kam went up to $35 while it's only $15 at the Aloha Stadium swap meet. So a lot of them have migrated to Aloha. For reasons I don't fully understand, they've chosen to only sell at Aloha on Sundays and not on Saturdays.
Here is a compilation of two Sundays' shopping at Aloha.
This is a jackfruit!
A lady bought this cut one for $15.
When I saw this lamp going for $85 I realized that maybe things go for a bit higher at Aloha than at Kam.
This couple was fundraising to earn money to participate in the 2012 Aloha Festivals. They will represent the Kaho'olawe pa'u unit.
Didi and Sweetie learned about the health benefits of Himalayan salt.
There were a lot of plant sellers.
This Thai chili pepper plant was $6.
Sweetie bought this plant for $7.
She also bought this pot of assorted succulents for $6.
Had choke food items.
This was a popular tent. She also had cookies which were to the right of the breads, but was kinda crowded so I couldn't get a shot of um.
I bought these for $1.50 each. They were good.
I wanted to try the sugar-free haupia, but hadn't brought a cooler so I didn't buy it.
This was gooood and only $1 each. I bought two but gave one away to a stranger . . . wish I neva . . . I regretted it later when I couldn't find the seller again.
The lady in line before me asked me how many of these Spanish Rolls did I want. I said just one . . . me and Sweetie were gonna share. So she bought all but one. It was only 50 cents each and really ono.
Me and Sweetie also shared one of these. It was the best jin dui I ever ate . . . not oily at all. Had coconut and black bean.
I loooooved how they set up the items in this tent. It was like being in a store.
Look how cute. One of the sellers gave me a flyer. They're called Vintage Rose.
They were selling this Brownie camera for $68. We got one exactly like it in our hall closet! With flash too!
How convenient yah!
You know my sisters and glass . . .
I don't remember how much these were. So pretty.
Sweetie bought this one for $3.
I thought this was funny.
These vintage Coach bags were selling for $10 each.
I was checking this one out for awhile so Sweetie bought it for me. It was $15. Thank you Sweetie . . . I love it!
I bought this piece of wood for Geri for $2. Yes, a piece of wood. Hey, she likes wood . . . and it's koa.
Kid time we each had a stamp collection album. It was so much fun collecting stamps and organizing them in our albums. Unfortunately, only Sweetie still has hers. Me and Didi are bummed that we probably left ours in our old house when we moved. So I couldn't resist when the seller offered all these for $10, especially since I can tell from the postmark on some of them that they're from the '70's. Except now I don't know quite what to do with um.
I bought this for $1.
And I couldn't resist . . . soooo cute. This was $2. Got two separate zippered sections.
I bought this mosaic plate for Sweetie. It was $2.
Don't ask. Dunno why I got this. Maybe 'cause it was only $2 and I thought it was neat. Comes with an instruction book too. I'm trying to find it a good home. So far, no takers.
Didi found but didn't buy this Mr. Potato Head set. It was $10.
She did buy this musical wooden spoon/drumstick set for $1. Uh-huh, yes she did.
These wooden puzzles were $3 each.
I bought this rhinestone pin for $6. Dunno why I love rhinestone pins.
Shell guy.
Check out this guy's puka shell necklace.

Les, I musta asked at least 10 people and nobody like um. LOL!
You know what I'm hoping Geri . . . that you and Sweetie inherited my and Didi's albums. Then at least they neva get wasted.
Funny Didi!!
I still not feeling better but this post made me laugh. I never had jin-dui before, it looks delicious. What? A Couch bag for $15? Did you forgot to put extra zero at the end?
Awww Akemi, I hope you get to feeling better soon. The Coach bag was "vintage". I think the seller said she had it for 10 years. Jin dui is like fried mochi with either coconut or an inside. Maybe you'll get to eat some the next time you're here.
Sheesh, I'm living on the wrong island!! LOL! Mmmm, Jin-Dui with
coconut filling!! Glad your posting normal again : )
Thanks Susan!
