Here's another NHK World recipe. Wendell made this a few weeks ago. I really, really liked this miso soup. It was so flavorful. I wish I could have some right now . . . except for the daikon. I don't like cooked daikon . . . kinda makes me gag. Dunno why.
Hello Jalna, I just made the soup and it was so delish !
I think that your husband used that frozen bag of veggies that I also use for nishime or sukiyaki. I happened to have a bag and used it and it made things so simple and easy. I pu the pork from palama supermarket as well as the konnyaku.
Super tasty and simple to do :)
After reading the recipe It reminded me of the same recipe that sushi king serves. Sure enough it does taste very similar. Its something Ive been wanting to replicate.
I can't believe that you don't like cooked daikon. It's an essential ingredient in oden, and in many soups of Japan and Korea. I even put it into my beef stew.
I know Nate . . . I don't know why. I like the flavor it gives to shiru so I'll even include it when I make miso soup myself, but I can't eat the cooked daikon.

Awwww Anon, I'm so glad it worked out for you. I'll tell Wendell.
So yummy Betty. I've been hinting to Wendell that I wanna eat it again.
