I saw these fresh apricots at Keeaumoku Market. I've only had dried apricots before . . . never fresh, and I was curious how they'd taste.
At $2.69 for four it was cheap enough, so I got um. It kinda tasted like a nectarine to me, and unfortunately it was mostly tart. Now I'm wondering what I can do with the rest of the apricots.

Mmmm. I'm thinking pour some kimchee base on it if firm for apricot kimchee! I'm salivating!!
I tried apricots from my sister-in-law's tree in California and it was unbelievably sweet. I mean awesomely sweet. Haven't had one like it since. Have you tried the Sugar Kiss Melons. Now that is sweet!
So timely! I just had a sample of fresh apricots at Costco. They had slices to try and I am glad I tried because when I ate it, I thought to myself that it was nice and crunchy, but sour. Hmmm. I thought maybe it was just me, but then I saw another senior lady try some too and she made the sour face too, and we nodded to each other. The buggah was sour! Good thing we had samples to try. However, Susan's apricot kimchee sounds very very interesting but I don't want to try with a whole tray of apricots.

Guess what, Aunty. I let Didi try a slice of my sour apricot, and she liked it!! Wha???? So guess who got the remaining three from my tray.
Cool. I heard Keeaumoku Market is closing.
Erick, they did close and now are reopened.
