I've been having a hard time opening jars lately. When the guys aren't at home I use this contraption. It usually does the job, but is not that easy to manipulate.
Do you have a tool or tip that works for you?

Grip shelf liner, cut into a square of 6” x 6”, or you can cut into a circle 6” in diameter. That’s what I use when those pesky caps feel like they’re glued to the bottle.
I’ve never scene that before. I use this thin rubber gripper jar opener to grip the cap and it pretty much does the job. I think I bought from Amazon or Walmart.

I bang the lid area around, sometimes use a rubber thing that can grip the lid, sometimes use hot water. And if all else fails, I wait for my son-in-law to come home.
My mom taught me to give the several taps around the lid with the dull part of a heavy knife. That usually “pops” the lid loose making it easy to open.
I use a flat screwdriver and put it in between the jar & cap, then turn it slightly to let out some air, I also use a rubber thingy from daiso, will post about it when I go back
Jar pop opener! It pops the vacuum seal and allows you to open the lids easily. It’s a low profile piece of plastic but incredibly important piece of equipment in my kitchen.
I've tried several. The plasticy ones like large pliers are useless; they don't grip. Go to Temu. There is one that is metal, with two parallel sections for the handle: at one end there's a clamp much like a vise grip's clamp. There are two metal gripper teeth sets. You can slide one set up and down the parallel part to fit on the jar lid. As you have one set of teeth on one side of the lid, and the other set of teeth on the opposite side of the jar, you squeeze the clamp to render it tighter and push the handle to open. LOL. I have a wooden stick thing that I sometimes use to bang the lid.

Ok. I going use a screwdriver to tap tap tap (Susan's tip) and if that no work then your tip.

Sounds like something I got at the swap meet awhile back because I was intrigued about it. Unfortunately, it didn't work well, but I think it's because it was too old.
