Headline: Down to Earth's Mock Chicken Supreme Burger is DA BOMB! Okay, maybe not so exciting for most of you . . . but for me and Landon eating it was a BestVeganThingWeEverAte moment.
You are SO good and STRONG! I dabble, but you dive in to healthy eating.
Not sure if Greens and Vines (corner of Ward and Kapiolani) still has their living lasagna on the menu. The ownership changed from local girl to Chinese Buddhists who don't use garlic. That lasagna was super ono, kinda expensive, but worth the price, imo.
Also, I made Leslie's carnita last night in my slow cooker (which I think was broken so it took 10 hours on high) and everybody said it was ONO! Except my toppings didn't look as good as Leslie's.
My Mexican rice came out horrible because I used Japanese short grain rice in the rice cooker, and didn't have a food processor to blend tomatoes and onions so used spaghetti sauce. Ha! Was good fun though. NObody asked me for THAT recipe.
Maybe the next 1st Sunday dinner will be vegan. You like come? Leslie too?
Aunty, I looked up Greens and Vines . . . so amazing that the food is raw! But yah, it's rather expensive. So happy that your carnita came out! Don't do vegan-themed 1st Sunday . . . it's so limiting . . . and Leslie probably wouldn't go. LOL!!
Izsmom, I plan to pick up couple of the burgers today!
I really think I can do vegan! It's looking better for me every time. I don't eat a lot of meat anyway...except when I smell the bbq coming from a grill...haha

I just can't do it! Me need Meat! I'll take my salad on da side, mini tanks! ; )
wow that sandwich looks tasty even without the mock chicken!
Try the Maui Taro Burger (Regular/Spicy)...it's delish as well.
Unfortunately, Greens & Vines shut down and the owner has sold her business...It'll be renamed and focused on Chinese Vegan Buddhist.

what did the mock chicken taste like? was it made out of Tempeh?
LOL, Susan!!! I know what you mean!
No, not like tempeh, Mmiissee. Tasted like chicken nuggets to me.
