There is a grove of eculpytus trees in Pacific Grove (Monterey area on the coast) where the Monarch butterflies come every year in October/November. There will be tons of them hanging from the trees. You don't really know they are there until they move. They are so beautiful! You'll see them around town too. These monarchs in your picture are awesome!

I hear there is a place in South America where you can see them all on one tree too, saw it on tv, it was amazing!
