A Boy, a Scooter and a Fond Memory

I saw this boy at the Waialae Baptist Bazaar yesterday.  He made me think of Kino. I gave him $5 to shop with.

While I was waiting for Geri to have a $1/minute massage, he came by and thanked me for the money. He said that he got the Razor scooter with it.

We talked for a bit, and he said that he was from Chuuk, the same island in Micronesia that Kino came from. I somehow already knew this.

When we parted I hugged him (twice) and said, "Have a good life."

Ah, Jalna. The story of you and Kino was so special. You so nice and kind.

btw, my friend Wandaful and I went to Ressie's Kusina yesterday for dinner. At first we were treated like new people and when I mentioned Jalna and blog, the owner's son got so happy and said you and your sisters were just there that day! We totally enjoyed pancit, sari sari, and lechon kawali with our sodas. And the mochi dessert wrapped in banana leaf gut gut? or was it but but? Anyways, was ono! And we went home all happy, and we were called and treated as "aunties".
